Until we have more information, nobody really knows whether or not schools will open on time in the fall. Even if they do open on schedule, whether or not the curriculum or attendance is normal is also still up in the air. While experts have issued warnings against assuming kids are less at risk or counting on treatments and vaccines being ready by the fall, schools still have to take into account financial sacrifice. Many schools have already taken huge hits economically and are not financially secure enough to pay workers, or fund financial aid. And, if school does not resume as normal in the fall, parents might be reluctant to pay a full tuition for education that does not live up to the standard. Without full confidence from parents, many private institutions will take an even greater financial hit than they are now.
