An interesting article in the Washington Post today regarding a response from certain people on the virus. The article describes a three part plan that includes mass testing, identifying known contacts, and isolating certain infected members of the public to allow non-carriers to return to normal lifestyles. The article made a point of how the plan did not come from the white house, but rather a team of philanthropists, including Bill Gates, former presidential advisors, and epidemiologists. It raises an interesting question of why President Trump is concentrating on the economy rather than containing the spread of the virus. if he is he obviously believes that speeding back into the normal fold of things is a better way of recovering but only time will tell if this is a risky gamble by the President and if he should, both for the good of the economy, and public safety, wait until the country has a better grip on the spread of the virus, as well as an understanding of who is infected.
